What the Wizard Covers

The setup wizard displays an embed with step-by-step instructions for new servers.

  • Current configuration status (leader roles)
  • How to set raid leader roles with /config leader-roles
  • How to create your first raid with /raid create — run it without options for the guided flow
  • Setting the server timezone with /config timezone
  • Tips for Discord role names (case-sensitive, use IDs for reliability)
  • Player actions — opt out, opt in, set class/spec

Welcome Message

When the bot joins a server it posts a short welcome with two buttons, so the wizard rarely has to be typed out by hand.

  • Start setup — opens the same wizard as /setup
  • Create first raid — jumps straight into the guided /raid create flow
  • Delivered to a channel the bot can post in, with a DM fallback
  • Every new server is granted a 30-day Premium trial at the same time

Permissions

  • Administrator permission required

Troubleshooting

  • If /setup is missing, re-invite the bot with applications.commands scope.
  • You can re-run /setup at any time — it always shows current settings.
  • Individual settings can be changed with /config subcommands without re-running setup.
